CSS is a SteamPlay title, so if you own it on the PC you own it on the Mac. So, if you thought that you could get into the Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test by leaving your game on the loading screen of CS:GO for the next few weeks, think again. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive CS:GO features new maps, characters, and weapons and delivers updated versions of the classic Counter-Strike maps like Dust, Inferno, Nuke, Train, and more. The 1 online action game in the world, Counter-Strike: Source (CSS) has just received a major update and is now available for the Mac. It's worth noting that Valve is only taking into consideration the number of hours that players have in CS:GO before the Limited Test started. However, Valve has said that more players will be added to the Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test over time, so keep on checking your Steam account to see if you are given access.
So, if you haven’t played CS:GO much recently, have a previous VAC ban, or haven’t yet tied your mobile number to your Steam account, it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to play in the Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test. Instead, Valve is rolling it out to players that it deems will be the most useful in helping test out the early form of Counter-Strike 2.Īccording to Valve, participating players will be selected “based on a number of factors deemed important by the Counter-Strike 2 development team, including (but not limited to) recent playtime on Valve official servers, trust factor, and Steam account standing.”
Unlike other multiplayer game betas, the Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test isn’t something that you can sign up for.
